Worcester Play Council - to enable access to quality play opportunities in Worcester City to benefit children and young people under 16 years.
'Play is what children want to do and what they choose to do when given the freedom, independence, time and space to determine their own behaviour. All children have a natural desire to play and will therefore play anywhere they are given the opportunity.' OUR AIMS to INFLUENCE through - developing and supporting meaningful engagement and consultation -representing play at strategic levels -raising awareness of Worcester Play Council and play to citywide organisations to CONNECT through -networking regularly with a wide range of individuals, groups and organisations -supporting and facilitating partnership working to drive the vision -providing support through lobbying partners and challenging policy decisions about play to DEVELOP through -providing expert, current information and advice/guidance for play development -providing training, mentoring and sign-posting to enhance play opportunities -providing grants for high quality play, providing resources, support with additional funding opportunities, volunteering and professional development sign up for our e-bulletin
